Our achievements
The Foundation was registered on July 1, 2022.
The foundation's founding inspiration comes from our founder's concept of revitalizing forgotten monuments in small towns. Its holistic and sustainable solutions led to its finalist position in the New European Bauhaus Awards. (NEB link)
Thanks to this, from the very beginning, we have worked with the goal of creating long-term and sustainable solutions for the historic building stock. We develop collaborative networks and work on research projects.
and we strive to be active in communities that need it most, restoring a sense of belonging.
1 Edukacja dla klimatu
Prowadzimy warsztaty i zabieramy głos na konferencjach. Uczymy młodzież i studentów, że dbałość o zabytki to także dbałość o planetę. Pokazujemy, jak historyczne budynki mogą zyskać nowe, prospołeczne funkcje.
2 Badania i innowacje
Uczestniczymy w międzynarodowych projektach badawczych. Tworzymy publikacje i projekty o tym, jak wprowadzać innowacje w starych budynkach i historycznych przestrzeniach, nie niszcząc ich ducha.
3 Wsparcie lokalnych liderów
Dzielimy się wiedzą z pasjonatami, którzy ratują zabytki w swoich "małych ojczyznach". Doradzamy im w kwestiach architektury, efektywności energetycznej i szukania pomysłów na drugie życie budynków.
4 Rzecznictwo

Nasz głos słychać tam, gdzie zapadają decyzje. Rozmawiamy i spotykamy się z dziennikarzami, aktywistami, politykami i samorządowcami, zmieniając ich spojrzenie na dziedzictwo kulturowe. Chcemy, aby nie tylko społeczeństwo, ale również przepisy i wsparcie finansowe sprzyjały zrównoważonej transformacji zabytków.
March 8 is an important date for the Foundation team for two reasons:
Firstly, March 8th is International Women's Rights Day, and to honor the founding team of F8M Foundation, we decided to retain this special date in the Foundation's name. We want to encourage women of all ages and professions to engage in civil society activities.
The second inspiration for the name is the place where the F8M Foundation was founded. In Rokietnica (Podkarpackie Voivodeship), March 8, 1943, is a date deeply embedded in local history and the legend of patriotism and heroism of the area's inhabitants. By retaining the date in the name, we wanted to commemorate the place and people who helped us begin our activities.
